BCD325P2/BCD996P2: New 325 Firmware ahead of online update?

Tried posting this info on another thread but it is closed. This is an FYI for those wondering about Firmware. . .

I had to buy a P25 scanner as my local dispatch just upgraded their 60 year old analog system.

My new scanner shows a firmware of 1.11.11. Uniden shows 1.11.07 as their latest update. Hopefully that means the VUP3 will update soon.

Those last digits are for cosmetic changes that doesn't affect performance. It could be a text misspelled or a display icon moved slightly to make it look more nice with a space to other icons and those kind of things. Uniden usually doesn't send out updates when just those two last digits change.
