Mega organized, and it's inside, I have to be in the garage, there just isn't any room in the house.... Would you consider having a computer there to look up information on storms, police code, frequencies, and be on RR forums?? Oh yeah, VX-170, how do you like it??? I need a 2-meter and that was one of them on the list to check out.

Thank you. I am a big neat freek. The power wire you see to the far left going to the 2800 is DRIVING ME NUTS!

I love the 170. I'm listening to mine right now at work. For a solid built, tank tough 2 Meter HT with no frills, the 170 is the way to go. It has the features of today, with the simplicity of yesteryear.

Comes with a wallwart charger and a Ni-Mh battery pack as well. For the price, it's tough to beat.

Nice setup. You've got a lot of radios in a small space but you've managed to keep it neat.

Thank you. It's actually in my bedroom, so I had to make due with what space I had. I try to keep it neat, but sometimes, especially when I'm tinkering with something it does get a bit cluttered.

Put new electrolytic caps in the 210xl. I have one I use for a scanner feed and it did the same thing. The caps don't age well past 15-20 years. I replaced mine and it runs like new. Just be mindful of the polarity of the caps as you are replacing, or else... BOOM!
