Hi! I need some input. I'm not to the BCFY feed that I set up. I had a small antenna on top of the roof and the feed broadcasted fine. Nice and clear. Today, we installed a large 5 foot antenna outside and now, my feed is nothing but loud humming and anything that comes through on the scanner (Super clear by the way), is garbled on the feed. I did order an isolator but I'm really not sure if that's the issue. The only thing different is the antenna. Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome! Thanks!!

Welcome to the RR forums. It may help our/your troubleshooting efforts if you provided the following info:
  • Make & model scanner you're using to stream to BCFY
  • Is the scanner you're using to stream connected to said 5 foot antenna?
  • Did the 5 foot antenna replace the "small antenna" you had before? If not, does reconnecting to "small antenna" resolve your issues?
  • Would whatever you're streaming (you haven't provided system specifics) be simulcast across multiple cells by chance? If so, more antenna would make simulcast distortion much worse...
anything that comes through on the scanner (Super clear by the way), is garbled on the feed.
So you're saying sound output is still clear on scanner but only being streamed as garbled on the feed? In that case it'd help to know what app you're using to stream to BCFY and the sound input you're utilizing (mic, line-in, wifi/ethernet sound in case of Uniden 536HP or SDS200)
