New Charlottesville Talk Group

Howdy,

Over the last two days I have seen the new talk group 42000. Anybody know what this might be? It isn't listed here.

I might have figured it out

I can't beleieve that I am answering my own post. ;-)

But, I think that I have the new talk group of 42000 figured out. I think that it is a new CTS talk group. It appears that from listening to this over the weekend that they are talking about transfers and such. So, it is either that or some other transportation related talkgroup. Maybe JAUNT?

What do you guys think?

I shall be passing by tomorrow afternoon west to east...will give er a check.

I listened for a bit this afternoon, and it's definitely CTS (Charlottesville Transit Service). Talk of Routes 3 and 6, transfers, Barracks Rd., Fashion Square, etc.

I'll go ahead and add to database.

That's interesting, since CTS licensed a new VHF channel not too long ago. Not sure what was wrong with their old one however - except that it was simplex. Maybe they have moved because they are expanding some routes out into the county?

I'll have to give it a shot too if I can get it in the scanner by the weekend.
