Just like to say hello to everyone. The last scanner I had was an old bearcat no brainer scanner. Just bought a bcd 396 T (used). Thought I would down load the instuction manual. About a 150 pages later...I thought I was reading greek. I understood nothing. Totally lost. Maybe it will be better in about 2 day's when I get the scanner in hand. Probably the first thing I would like to do is get it back to default programs and settings without destroying the original factory settings. If it's possible I sure can accomplish that (screwing it up). Sure glade there is a forum like this. Again hello all and I'm greatfull for this forum !

I just hope that when the scanner arrives that it is basically in factory default mode. If not I will have to figure out how to delete whatever maybe installed and then see if I can get it back to the default. Better I guess to work with a clean scanner. Never relized that scanners had got so complex. Should arrive this week. Thank you all for the information. As far as the freescan software when can I install this ? Meaning does the scanner have to be hooked up and then run the software or run the software without the scanner being hooked up ? Some hardware requires that you install the software first then install the hardware and others it's the other way around. Talk about brain cramps !
