Hello,
I just set up my RR account this week & have been reading through the threads for new users. I hope I'm following the protocol for posting for the first time.
I have noticed a problem with a broadcastify stream & wanted to make sure it was posted somewhere that the volunteer might see it. Specifically, the stream is for the East Baton Rouge Parish (Louisiana) Sheriff's Office Dispatch. The problem is that the stream seems to be broadcasting ambient sounds from a live microphone (perhaps an onboard mic on the computer), and has been doing so since approximately May 28th, 2018 (when I first heard it.) As of this morning (6-14-18), this was still the case.
Although I miss listening to the feed, my main concern is for the privacy of the volunteer and his/her family, since it seems that everything within range of the mic (people speaking, TV, baby crying) is going out on the stream. I have sent a politely-worded e-mail to the feed provider describing this issue, but also thought it might be a good idea to post here.
Thank you for your consideration.
