Thanks

Doesn't look like they are Geo-Taged so you may have to turn off location control for them to work, if I'm reading the other threads correctly. The Long/Lat and Range has to added to the Database.

They're geo-tagged now for the three main sites. When I can get to the IR sites this weekend, I will...

Edit - they're all done now - it takes a little to get used to using the geo-tag feature, but it's pretty easy once you get the hang of it!

I don't know if these need to be done, look in the database, in the NJ State Police Reports section, Other Reports (TG Location Report & Site Location report) I guessing here, maybe one of the other Admin can answer that.

Yes, although it's going to take until next week's DB update for the geotags to show in the HP-1 itself.

Only two of the IR sites actually had geotags on them - I did the rest this evening. I put the tags in for those that might use them - I don't live anywhere near any of them & will 'avoid' them on mine when I do get it...

You're seeing those location specs in that report because I just did them...

I was mainly talking about the TG one.

I flew through a bunch of long-standing NJ trunk systems - NONE of them have location data for the talkgroup categories...

I've been reading so many threads on the HP-1 and thought I saw something about that info may be needed for the HP-1. But, like I said I'm guessing, so I just mentioned it. What do I know, I'm just some old fool who has time to read the threads and only remembers half. :D

Are you able to program the HP-1 yourself or only from RR? There are many frequencies in my scanner that are not in the RR database.

Assaf the Author of FreeScan (Third Party Software) is working on a program to make that feature available. There are a bunch of Threads in the Uniden Forum about the HP-1 if your interested I'd start reading them.

W2SJW, not to hijack the thread but do I need to reprogram my scanner for the updates to the NJSP system you did?

How you making out Tony, are you montoring the system yet?

Steve...

I was not able to do an upload yesterday it software said that the server was down or something like that..

On a side note, the radio is picking up the Morris Co TRS system here in Harrison now which I am very happy about none of my other radios where able to do it like the 996XT.

I bought the radio mainly when I travel no more having to sit there and program my radio for hours.

If anyone can check this out please see if Belleville Fire is in the data base because I was sitting on Essex County this morning while Belleville was doing there test and did not pick them up at all.

154.220 PL 141.3

Thanks

Tony

If you have a Uniden scanner and use a GPS with it Yes. If you have a GRE or Radio Shack scanner No.

Whoops - I forgot about the interface ability of the 396/996 - I just woke up... ;)

I don't think the changes are in the HP-1 database yet, I did the update this morning in Home Patrol and the Lang/Lat didn't show up for the North/South and Central sites.
