I was in the valley over the weekend and noticed some changes to central Lane's fire freqs:

154.355 [186.2 PL] Eugene / Springfield dispatch base-mobile (old tac-1 had pl on mobile side--now on base side)
154.445 [146.2 PL] Eugene Fireground repeater (in place of old tac-2)
154.760 [100.0 PL] Springfield fireground?? repeater (licensed to SFD)
154.205 [CSQ] Central Lane Rural Dispatch base-mobile (old tac-4)

All are narrowband. Please post if you notice anymore changes.

Here's what I have so far, but it's not complete yet.

Firecom 1 154.355 186.2
Metro 2 154.445 146.2
Metro 3 155.760 186.2
Metro 3 Input 151.130 186.2 (Mobiles only)
Tac 3 154.430 186.2
Tac 4 154.205 141.3 (Used for rural dispatch)
Lane 5 159.135 186.2 (Used for rural tac north of town)
Firecom 6 154.295 186.2
Tac 8 155.340 CSQ (No change)

All channels up thru Firecom 6 appear to be narrowband now. Unsure on Tac 8.

For the in-town channels, the PL tones now appear to be in use by both dispatch and mobiles (It used to be that only the mobiles used the tones).

I wouldn't put any of this in the database just yet. We need a few more days of monitoring. Even then, I probably wouldn't include the PL tones until we are sure they are using them all the time.

Of course, if somebody has the right contacts we could get a good listing figured out much quicker...

Lane County Fire Frequencies

Just started listening to 154.445 pl 146.2. WOW, scratchy but readable. Nice to get fireground traffic from Eugene with conditions are nice like this afternoon. -Listening from Keizer/Salem.

These won't be fully operational for a few more weeks but Central Lane is testing all of the sites. Every department in Lane County will be on this new system around October.

Just got back from talking to those guys there. There are 2 attachments.First is the current temporary channel plan as of right now.Second attachment is the channel plan for end of september which should be permanenr. There is one repeater the coburg repeater which is currently pending being approved through the FCC.That is on the final channel plan for september.Havent had a chance to input the new frequencies in the scanner yet.Once i have and listened for a bit will report back.According to the guys at the firestation the channel plan in the first attachment is in use now and was just programmed in there radios this morning.

Hope this helps anyone in same area

Thanks slick97454!
I suspected that (mostly) empty first section was so each department can program in their own channel plan. Good to have some confirmed usage for Mohawk.

If anybody else has access to similar info for their area of Lane County, please post it if you can.

I went ahead and submitted all of the freqs that JCPD815 posted as well as the mohawk ones. The latest State Radio Project progress report shows that the Walker Point tower is being replaced and should be complete soon which is probably why the West freqs aren't up yet (still Firecom 4).

Trouble with Eugene fire Dispatch

Just fired up the Pro-96 in the Eugene area after only using it in Redding for the last several years. Not having much luck on the fire frequencies.

Looks like Fire dispatch is still 154.355, but the scanner locks on and won't let go even at maximum squelch.

Researching this, I found this post. Do I need to do something to compensate for the narrowband and the PL tones mentioned in this thread?

I use Win96 to program the scanner.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Its a work in progress. From what I have monitored, the East / West fire freqs are all the NFM ones in the DB. Metro fire (Eugene / Springfield) is currently being dispatched on Firecom 1 154.3550 CSQ wideband FM and are responding on Firecom 2 154.265 186.2 PL wideband FM. Occasionally metro units will use the new Metro NFM freqs, but for some reason they are using their old wideband ones the most. I recently heard the dispatcher tell metro units to respond on "Firecom 3." I don't know what freq that is since the old wideband firecom 3 is now East dispatch.

I was down in Eugene for a couple of days and observed the same behavior; dispatch was on the old Firecom 1 with responses on Firecom 2 and hospital comms on the old HEARSnet Ch 1
