• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

New - Lincoln County EMS

I have been monitoring an NXDN 9600 baud system (RAN 0) on 154.415 MHz. Originally I thought this was a new system in Towns Co, but after 100s of hours of monitoring, I am shocked to find it is actually coming from Lincoln County, GA.

Today they finally IDed the system Dispatcher - 911 (Voice ID Lincoln County) (original NCDN RID was OES/F).

They are dispatching various Med units and mentioned one transport to University McDuffie in Thomson (McDuffie) GA.

FCC database does not show this assignment or anything close, but based on monitoring evidence - it is there and it is loud here in Brasstown (155 miles distance).

I will send an update to the RR db admins as soon as I post this message. So if you live near Lincoln co and have NXDN, you have a new target to monitor.

73 and good hunting
