You need a lawyer to follow the FCC license admin information, but are we sure it might not be premature to post that MOBEX info in Baltimore? The FCC is apparently still deciding on their appeal....?
Sorry, I was doing a bad job of multitasking...
Someone posted a new MOBEX system in Baltimore...but there's no signal on the posted frequencie(s), and a look at the FCC info reveals a lot of legalese which might make one think the system is in some sort of conflict/receivership/FCC finding....
I was the one who made the changes, but it's not a "new" system, it's been in the database for years. It was just never properly assigned to the counties/cities that the sites were said to be active in. So, Site 30 always said "Baltimore, MD", it was just never actually assigned to Baltimore in the database.
I can say for certain that the NYC area frequencies are active, I verified them last night. I've got no way of checking the other sites in the system, again the changes to the system were just housekeeping purposes. Nothing else was changed, added or deleted.
Mobex Trunking System, East Coast, Multi-State - Scanner Frequencies
As far as the status of Mobex (Maritime Communications/Land Mobile, LLC), they filed for bankruptcy some times ago, so who knows what's to become of them or this system.
OK real dumb question - whatintheheck is MOBEX?
Mike
Sorry guys....Mobex Network Services, LLC apparently was one of two contractor/integrator/operators of the AMTS rollout years ago.
Here's an old RR posting about it:

I'm getting no data bursts on any of the published frequencies...I'm getting small data bursts on 217.475, but I wasn't quick enough to hit the Record button when I heard the Morse ID--I'll do better next time. And, I'm using a USB tuner with SDR#, so it very well could be an image (I need to order an FM 88-108 notch filter ASAP). Someone with a more precision radio may want to check out that frequency range.
