These New NYPD "Anti Gun Violence Patrol Teams " started yesterday. Looking for info on what frequency they are using

I'm told the precinct channel. Unconfirmed.

Since they are made up from members of the command they patrol in they are still assigned to that command and therefore will be on that commands division.

Is this just a new name for the old anti crime units? Which I think were "Street Crimes" or something.

Street Crime was citywide plain clothes unit which was broken apart and split up amongst the different Patrol Boros and renamed Boro Anti - Crime or “boro crime”. They were tasked with going after street level offenses primarily felonies with an emphasis on guns and robberies.

Precinct Anti Crime was always part of a precincts special ops. It was known by the precinct # then crime. Ex: 40 crime was 40th precinct anti crime. They were also tasked with going after street level offense primarily felonies.

yes it’s just Anti-Crime/Boro Crime/Street Crime rebranded with out plain clothes.

What are the Patrol Borough channels used for?

Parades and events in that Boro when only people from that Boro are assigned. In the Bronx the Bronx zoo detail and orchard beach use it.
