New Radios?

I wonder if some departments are getting new radios in Sarpy County. I kept hearing test counts on TG 848 (Event 2) around 1345 hours today. I was between calls so couldn't pay too much attention to the scanner.

Makes me wonder if they're getting them ready for something, trying some new radios or just like getting them ready for football game detail... ?

Special Event?

The Sarpy Co Sheriff spent quite a bit of the weekend directing traffic for the Cabella's opening

I notice some have MTS2000, I believe, and others have XTS series.

I think the MTS may be the last few they have. Apparently the better people have the XTS series while the common workers have the MTS.
