So I know this isn't directly related to scanning, but I saw an article in the paper the other day that SP, Thruway Authority and NYSDOT were all migrating to Intergraph I/CAD so they could integrate better. This is after Orange County just put a new TriTech CAD online, after rejecting Intergraph as the vendor.

You would think with SP covering a large portion of Orange County; and that portion possibly expanding (pending the decision in Tuxedo) they would have talked with SP and maybe gotten one that was compatible, rather than still needing dispatchers to track two CAD systems

There are many counties in NYS that use Intergraph so i think that could contribute. Plus many other counties interface with NYSP and do not need 2 cad systems in house...

Maybe it wasn't clear, or I am misinterpreting what was written; but I was referring to the fact that Orange County 911 should have checked with SP, not the other way around.

Also for some reason, it seems the vast majority, if not all PD's in Orange with their own dispatch need two CADs...
