Just doing some checking on the FCC website. I am guessing that this is the 5th Div HQ site. I found frequencies 151.2125, 151.3025 and 151.3775 all assigned to callsign WQGB461.

Operation location for that callsign is 1557 South Military Highway, Chesapeake, VA. That is 5th Division HQ.

I would guess that in the short term that site could be referred to as "Chesapeake" or "5th Div. HQ" To be consistent with the other site names probably "Chesapeake" is the most appropriate.

Wonder how far Hampton, Franklin and the Eastern Shore are behind?

I know that last Wednesday I copied cc activity on one of the frequencies assigned to the Hampton location.

Hi Folks,

Site 111 appears to be Hampton. 2 of the frequencies listed in the FCC database 151.4225 and 159.2475 are affiliated with callsign WQFR693 which is listed in the database to an address on Mercury Blvd. in Hampton.

My suspicion is the reason you are hearing 1st Div. units is that all sites are simulcasting now. I do LOTS of traveling and you can copy most all 1st. Div. units on any tower at any given time. Unlike the legacy system where if you weren't close enough to the repeater that the trooper was working you probably would not copy them. Just my .02, regardless I am excited to be able to copy 1st. Div units at home. I can't wait until I can sit at home and listed to the troopers work I-81 in the middle of huge winter storm!

I don't know why but I have been "anxious" for STARS to get going in Southeastern VA. I guess new toys to use maybe.

Hey folks - is anyone currently catching site 114? I had the signal last night but nothing on any of the assigned frequencies today and at this moment (Friday @ 7pm). I've got Hampton coming in just fine. I'm wondering if they took 114 offline. Thanks

I've got the STARS control freqs in my 996T but I never hear anything. I'm somewhat clueless with this 996 but I thought I had it programmed right.
EDIT: Fixed it....I think.

On the Hampton tower (111) last night a women using ID 6703 was talking to some guy about "them letting us use these $28k radios". I've recently logged a few transmissions on ID 6703 affiliated with radio 37210. Also had that talkgorup affiliate with radio 37211 on the Chesapeake tower (114) two days ago and talkgroup 4125 affiliate with radio 22317.

Listening to the Alt CC for Chesa 152.7425 has a CC on it but not 9600 baud and no Id is being transmitted, Also Hampton Alt CC 152.7575 has same activity

I have not been able to get any Chesapeake CC is the past 3 days and never got Suffolk but Hamptons CC 152.5775 has been coming in good at 70% and I live down the road from the Ches State PD Headquarters. When I put in 152.7425 I don't hear anything so im not sure whats going on.
