Hello everyone, I just moved out to Groton, CT from IA and am new to the area. I was wondering that ham repeaters are local to me, possible net times, and any other good information for a new comer to the area should know. Thanks!

ARRL over in Newington publishes a Repeater Directory every year that does a pretty good job of telling everything about individual repeaters, including special connections, access coding, etc. As I recall the cost is about $11.00.

Check here for a list of coordinated repeaters statewide.
CT Spectrum Management Association
Some are more active than others. I'm an HF guy and don't do VHF/UHF but I do have a few in the scanner. Welcome to beautiful New London county.

Thanks everyone for the information! I am a ham but currently only have a handheld so I can only get groton and lenyard (barley). I take it groton pd is on one of the trunks correct? Also is there much activity on the state police channels? Thanks again!

Groton Town (vs City) is on its own stand alone 800 system 853.400 + 851.575. Ct SP is somewhat busy. Troop E is the troop in this area and is on the statewide trunk system in zone 8. You won't hear a lot of dispatches since they use MDT's, cellphones, etc.

Welcome to the area.
