Hi guys could some one please give me a quick guide. Just got a baofeng uv-5ra scanner. Don't seem to pick up anything .Even when I let it auto scan .it stops on some activity but moves on again. Thank you in advance

Baofengs are not scanners; they are very inexpensive 2 way handhelds. While it's possible to program them, they really aren't meant for scanning.

It would be most helpful if we knew where you are (county/state is fine) and what you are trying to hear. With these 2 questions, we can get started with helping you get the right radio for the right application
