We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. Im on the market for a decent mobile scanner so of course ill be looking for agood antenna!

I dont need anything big or special, im only scanning regular police systems, nothing trunked or digital.

Im going to be running a wilson 1000 cb antenna as well as a motorola uhf radio.

Any suggestions for a beginner?

I use the Larsen 150-450-800 NMO mount on a magnetic base. It covers pretty much everything. It is also fairly low profile.
