Good morning!

The attached article announced the arrival of Newman's Ambulance in the Daphne area. Though primarily to be used for transfers between facilities, the article goes on to say they will be available for calls to supplement MedStar. The article presents a number of long response times for the City of Daphne during the past summer addressing a need for more transport units and crews. So far there has been no radio traffic on any of the known AIRS talk groups. Input is always welcome.

Ah, well this explains the Newman's Own Ambulance I saw pulling into South Baldwin the day before yesterday. I thought it was odd to see something other than Medstar or one of the beach cities' EMS trucks there.

When time permits I'm bouncing between the NXDN system and the AIRS system, I haven't had much luck getting both decoded at the same time with my two SDRs.

Does anyone know what radio system they operate on? There is nothing in the FCC database. Their website says they are the oldest privately-owned ambulance service in Alabama so they probably have radios?

I've wondered that as well. I always figured they used the Mobile system

I'm too far out to catch anything from the Mobile city/county system so if they're dispatched by the EMS there I'll never hear it. That system doesn't reach far enough into Baldwin County so I wonder how they'd communicate when they're out of range.

I noticed a few listings for private/commercial trunked systems in DMR and NXDN digital but only one has a site in Baldwin County, and none of them seem particular well mapped out.
