I am been picking up the NHP, actually the entire system very good lately. I don't know if they enhanced it but it has been coming in great, both the Sloan and Sunrise Mtn groups. I am even hearing traffic for NDOT.

I have added the Group ID for the Call Box at Primm. It tends to be entertaining at times.

I'm hearing more on LV-4 and the patches as well as the Allied group ID.

I will ask again, as I do, does anyone have any frequencies for the Freeway Service Patrol?

Have a great day everyone.

About the call boxes i didnt think anyone would use them with the cellphone mania going on, but you right theres plenty of cars breaking down that way

Nsrs Tg 08-010

That TG is actually a patch used by NHP. Just because your display says 08-XXX does not necessarily mean it is Nevada Power. Page 35 of the Southern Nevada Scanner Book, 4th edition confirms it as a patch.

Thanks BJ, I actually had responded to that post. Thanks for the info.

Also, I have noticed that the NHP uses the patches late at night.

Happy Holidays all

I heard some traffic on Group ID 05-071. They identified themselves as Kodak. Does anyone know who this is?

Thanks

Page 31 of the Third Editon of the Southern NV Scanner Book shows NSRS TG 05-071 as the Nevada Military Dept. Rural Aid channel. Many other TGs' for that agency are listed in the book. I acquired my copy at Radio World in Boulder City in case you are looking for one.

Hi, I am new to the group. I just drove through Nevada to California last week while monitoring NHP with etrunk. Nevada has changed a lot since I was last through there. I used to live all over Nevada so it was fun to drive through after 10 years.

Interesting system after I got the hang of it, plus it was the first time I have used etrunk. I am very familar with the UCAN system in northern Utah and and use Trunker in a big way there.

Are there any good list of the user ids so I can identify the ones I collected for my trip back through this summer? I have a friend that drives Nevada a lot and he gave me some he has collected.

Good to meet the group and if there are UCAN questions or group ids I can help any of you with just yell. Some of your UCAN questions I may not be able to answer do to a conflict of interest issue, but I can probably help.

I just found the data base so please ignore my previous request for id information. Nice job! The info for the Utah UCAN system is very good as well.

As for a lengthy list of IDs' used on the NSRS a list which looks like it is complete for the entire State is showing on pages 25 thru 36 of the Third Editon of the Southern Nevada Radio Scanner Book available at Radio World in Boulder City (702-294-2666) or thru Amateur Electronics Supply in LV (also available thru the AES Web Site under stock number NVSCAN1). It is about 300 IDs' showing first in order of agency and a second listing in order of ID number.

The Radio Referece data base for Utah is really pretty good. I know the UCAN system for northern Utah well. There are only a few omissions in that list and if you are going that far north it will give you 90% of what you would want to listen to on a pass through.
