• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

I ordered one so until I get it I can’t vouch for any of it.
Theses are Kenwood not Chinese knockoffs per description and pictures of boxes.

Those are popular changers and there's probably a ton of them out there. I know I've got a cabinet at work full of them. The NX-x10's we still use came with them as part of the package. A lot of users wanted the 6 gang chargers, so the KSC-32's went into the cabinet to wait until needed. Haven't had any failures, so they sit collecting dust until needed.

I know there are Chinese knockoffs, but it is entirely possible they are legit. However, the Chinese are pretty good at copying printing on the boxes.

Looks legit. My only concern is there isn't a photo of the actual charger.
But as they say, shop the seller, not the price. The seller has 100% feedback rating and has been a member since 2013, so likely a safe bet.

Now if i could find a mobile charger… you know, one that wouldn’t toast my batteries.

I really want a convertacom but no such animal unless I build it…don’t worry, I won’t.

See this for mobile chargers. I don't have this charger, but do the dual desktop charger from this manufacturer and it works well. I am very interested in this one to use in the work truck.

Kenwood makes some nice mobile chargers. Not cheap, but they are nice. KVC-18, KVC-20, KVC-23. They won't cook your batteries. I had a KVC-18. I have a new KVC-23 sitting waiting for installation.

PowerProducts also makes a nice mobile chargers that are a bit cheaper. I've got one mounted in my work truck.

Yeah, no covertacoms for the Kenwoods, which was kind of a shame.

Arrived minutes ago. Yes, OEM. If it fails to charge I’ll post back. Unfortunately there are no more from this vendor.
