There are 20 MABs in NJ, plus I believe another 5 or 7 in NY that combine to the NY/NJ Regional MAB Fleet and can move upwards of 500+ patients in a single mission.

I'm pretty sure there is a MAB housed in Keyport EMS (or was), although I don't recall the MAB number off hand.

Per the EMSTF forms, that would be MAB 6. Perhaps they took it over from Atlantic Highlands, which is the agency I had on hand through empirical evidence obtained at a drill conducted in 2017.

What does MAB stand for? What purpose do these units serve?
Medical Ambulance Bus. They are designed to move and treat up to 18 supine patients or 15 in wheelchairs or 30 seated. It also can act as a rehab point or shelter
