• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Since I did not find actual FCC licenses (ULS system) under their actual business name, there is a good chance the are using a large communications provider or local (mom & pop) radio shop to either lease time/space (on repeater(s) or Talk-Group(s)). They would then be under the providers FCC Call sign. Two possiblities are listed below.

Atlantic Telecommunications

OneVoice Network

If its a smaller Mom & Pop radio shop it may be difficult to find unless one want's to research FCC licenses (ULS)for them - a long and ardous process. Finding the shop's name and if they cover the area.

They also can be using regular Cell phones or a cellular LTE PTT network, then unfortunately it's not monitorable by any scanner.

To the group: Any help on this is appreciated
