Hey all. Can somebody help me out with the info for NJ UTAC-6 SOUTH? It was being used by the NJ EMS Task Force at the Warped Tour in Oceanport yesterday. I'm told that it's different from NJ UTAC-6 NORTH, but the database only has one entry for NJ UTAC-6. Is it just a separate repeater site with a different PL, or a different channel altogether? Thanks!

There is no UTAC6 North - it's only a south repeater.

Hmmm. That makes the most sense. I would imagine that if they had created an additional channel they would have just used a different number instead of splitting into north/south, but somebody told me otherwise. Thanks!

My understanding is that UTAC4,5,7,8 are all built out (simulcast/voted) across the northern part of the state. There is also another set of interop channels which is south by the Del. Mem bridge between NJ/PA/Delaware (I'd have to double check this but I think it's right)

There's also UTAC6 which is for south/central NJ I believe.

The probable reason for 4,5,7, and 8 not being developed further in to the state is because they were built with grant money or UASI funds and outside of a certain area the counties are not eligible for the funding.

There is an 'official' statewide map out there, I'm trying to locate it, that shows the tower locations and what channels are at that site and where the voting receivers are. Most of the repeaters are on the NJSP towers. I just can't remember where I saw it.
