• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

How far north does the NJSP system go? Specifically, I am thinking of these counties:

Sussex
Morris
Passic
Warren
Bergen

Thanks!

The line between North and Central goes something like this (although not exact):

From West to East, just south of 78, then follows Route 287 southeastward to route 440.

2 Comm units cover Sussex County
3 Comm units cover Warren County
4 Comm units cover the Route 80/280 corridor (and 287 North or Morristown)
5 Comm units cover the Route 78/287/24/440 corridor

Hope this helps.

The above posts do not say Morris is covered by troop C. It is covered by Troop B. (a site right in the heart of Morris County).
