my user cp is all ok and says i am suppose to get updates to replies

When you post something, before you click on "SUBMIT REPLY", scroll down slightly and you will see a box labeled "NOTIFICATION TYPE".
Make sure that it says "INSTANT EMAIL NOTIFICATION". If it says anything else, you will not get notified immediately, and that means something is set wrong in your profile.

I just got notified that you sent a reply, so the system is working. Check to see that the right E-mail address is listed in your profile, and then try sending yourself an E-mail. Maybe something is wrong with your ISP.

If you're not getting replies from the forum or from anyone else, I think something is wrong with your E-mail program or your ISP. Did you try and send yourself an E-mail like I told you in my previous post ???

You're set to "Instant email notification".

so i switched to my yahoo acount and got your reply there

I am pretty sure Hotmail works fine, it is more likely that your specific account is sending the mail to the junk folder or deleting it right away. Is webmaster(at)radioreference.com in your address book on Hotmail? BTW, it is not up to RR to "support" Hotmail, it is the other way around.
