It had to happen sometime. It looks like the APT signal from NOAA 15 is failed. Two days ago a friend of mine in NV reported he had an unusable image from N15 apparently not related to cockpit error and I verified a messed up image from a subsequent pass. Both of us received the same pass yesterday and again it was nearly unusable. A picture of that image is attached.
Based on the fact that there are a couple of the latest revision sats in service, and NOAAs 18 and 19 are still sending good imagery, I'm guessing that N15 will shortly get turned off for good.
