• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Since the switch to this wyolink system I am not able to program my Pro-160 for Laramie police and fire. I am not sure what to do, I know how to use blutel arc160 software with RadioReference but there is so many freq's to choose from that no matter what I seem to select nothing works. I admit that I am a noob at this stuff and trying to read forums is greek to me because I do not understand the lingo. Is there anyone in Laramie that might be able to help -- either to stop by or I can bring it to you? Or is my Pro-160 just not able to work with this wyolink system?

Thanks

I do not believe that is a digital scanner. I could be wrong though. If it is not a digital scanner then you will be SOL and have to go buy one to hear WyoLink.

Pro106 doesn't receive digital. Like the other poster said, you're out of luck unless you buy a new scanner
