Thats in the 2 meter(144-148) ham band and that part of the band is where the beacons are.
I though it was a beacon as it repeats itself, but a beacon for WHAT?

Hams use them to track propagational characteristics during different times of the day and in general to track band openings and perhaps some other reasons I can not recall at the moment.

I believe that is the 144.29 beacon located somewhere in Saratoga County. Either at Spruce Mountain or over in the Providence area; I can't remember the exact locations.

Also, I believe the beacon transmits in SSB (USB to be exact).
