Hello, I am new to digital systems and could use some help. I want to listen to North Olmsted ohios police department. I have looked through the Ohio marks digital system. The only thing I see is north olmsted police channel 3. How can I find the other channels? I have loaded west shore dispatch along with west shore channels 1, 2, and 3. It seems like I'm getting everything I don't want and nothing I do want. Also i would like to listen to fire as well but I only see the westshore channels not specifically north Olmsted. Thank you for your help. I am using a uniden bcd996P2

Not in your area but are they conventional or 7/800? You could do wildcard or trunking discovery in the scanner. You can also look in the fcc database under different names such as just for example, Carter, city of. City of Carter. Cherokee, county of and so on.

N. Olmsted is dispatched by Westshore Dispatch. If you have that T/G programmed in, you will hear them.

The T/G is shared by other agencies so you will hear them as well. Nothing you can do about that.

Good luck!!

There is no regional dispatch for PD. They are dispatched by their own dispatchers/officers.
All departments use TG 13611 for dispatch.

Thank you everyone for your help. You have given me more information than I had. I will keep reading and learning and one of these days I'll figure this thing out. I appreciate all you taking the time to answer my questions.

Another tip with Uniden programming. Make sure you have "ID scan" enabled on the MARCS System rather than "ID search".

ID search will let you hear every agency (sewer workers, trash trucks, cops, etc.) on the system while ID scan will only let you hear the T/G's you want (in your case T/G 13611).

If you live in Cuyahoga Co., you should only need to program the Cuyahoga County MARCS Simulcast
frequencies (not the entire MARCS System of course) along with the T/G's of your choice.

I am in North Olmsted also. As mentioned above the five westshore PDs all use TG 13611 as their shared dispatch channel. They also share what is called channel 2: TG 13619. Each westshore PD has a separate TG for channel 3:
North Olmsted: 13591
Fairview Park: 13598
Westlake: 13579
Rocky River: 13582
Bay Village: 13607

As for FDs: North Olmsted chose not to participate in the WestCom shared fire dispatch but they do use the same TG as Westcom for radio traffic. TG 13503. NOFD gets their calls using some internal communications system which I have no idea how it works. The only time you will hear a call dispatched for North Olmsted on 13503 is when the squad is already on the road somewhere but is in service such as when they are returning from one of the hospitals.
