From wha I read, It sounds like the folks in Tarrrant County and the cities with trunked systems asre looking into sharing a common system. This almost sounds like a smaller version of the one down in the Houston area. With the infrastructure they plan to install, linking to other region's systems is going to be available. Now if they would just make "common" talkgroups for fire, Police and ems. How about a common "pursuit" talkgroup? Now's the time to figure this stuff out...

I heard 5 of the 866-867 freqs (from both systems, total 10) might be used for P25 testing, after the Super Bowl. This would probably make sense, especially after rebanding, and those frequencies are still available to use for a while. I bet we won't hear anything significant, as far as real world use goes, for a quite a while longer.

Sounds like it's time to set up 2 new P25 systems in my PSR500 with both the 866 freqs and 851 freqs (on both system 1 and system 2)....
