for some reason it would not work when I manually entered the control and alt freqs. $15 to become a supporting member ,$30 win96 and $5 the guy charged me at radio shack to bugger things up
and it works

Good you got it working...Hate to see you use it as a downrigger weight! I finally got my Uniden reprogrammed. Didn't even know they had updated the State system. Wondered why the scanner was so quiet and also why I was picking up stations over 100-150 miles away again!

Did you change the control channel's from 868 to 853??

Pages as in fire dept tone outs?
Most of time fire dept.'s use their old VHF dispatch frequency for that.
The 800 digital wasnt really setup for toning-paging out. Heard a few do it.. it sounds horrible, breaks up a lot.

yes the tone outs
we had to have all our pagers reprogrammed too
have the old vhf freqs programmed in but not getting anything
