Anyone ever listen to them or figure out a frequency ? Yesterday while there I asked one of the rangers about the radio but he seemed to not know alot, other than 1 channel to talk on the park, then another if they leave the park. He had a new APX900 in VHF so know its the parks channels but i couldn't hear any of the Blue Ridge Repeaters there.

Was at Appomattox today and found two frequencies , park operations, in the clear, nothing was encrypted

163.1250 NAC 255
169.5500 NAC 255

At times both came up, 169.550 probably an input

If they are following the NTIA standard 169 would be the Repeater now

Bill and all,

I can confirm 100% that 163.125 is the R/in and 169.550 MHz is the R/out with a c/s KID 769. Thanks to richrowl for the NACs

In the DC/VA part of the country, the NTIA standard for VHF repeaters is essentially never used. On UHF, it is often used.
