I’ve google’d about all I can Google. As I understand it, the W&LE uses 160.680 to Witgo Junction, however what does NS use? Their lines run side by side but aren’t connected until Mingo Junction.
As I understand it, too, W&LE territory ends at Steubenville doesn’t it? If so then what does NS use North and all up along their River Line to Yellow Creek? And if W&LE has territory up there, do they still use 160.680 or something else?
Thanks a bunch, in the Wheeling area and I’m trying to get local RR stuff and I already have the aforementioned W&LE as well as the Benwood CSX frees

Try 161.070
Right, as of a couple years ago they were using 161.070 (AAR 64) from Yellow Creek to Shadyside. East Ohio Valley Railway now operates Shadyside to Omal, with trackage rights from Shadyside to Mingo Junction.

I was in the area a couple of years ago with the four legacy Conrail channels in scan (AAR 46, 50, 58, 64) and remember hearing chatter but can't remember which frequency. It might have been 46 or 50 (160.800MHz and 160.860MHz, respectively). The River Line from Yellow Creek to Rochester uses 161.445MHz. You could always try putting that in your scanner.

As for the Wheeling they definitely use 160.680MHz for everything east of Brewster. They may use 161.340MHz as a yard channel as well if you're into listening to switching.
