I think it might be interesting if some people would post some of their own numbers station recordings,..

I'll start by posting one I just recorded a few minutes ago..

This is a Cuban station

Sorry for the quality... I tried to hurry up making this because it was close to going off the air.. You can hear me trying to clean it up during the recording.

^^This station can be heard pretty much daily on 7887 Khz at 2000 Zulu time

This morning ( 0114 my local time, I dont know the zulu stuff yet) I was messing around with my new Grundig S350 and came across a numbers station on 9500 KHZ. It was a female speaking in spanish, and went on for about an hour ( Until I could not take it anymore)...

Im way new to this ( since yesterday really) and would like to find some of the Pirate stations. I guess I better figure out how to put up a simple antenna for this thing, I was up until 0300 just listening to Radio New Zealand, and Radio Australia.

:)

Well nobody knows for sure, but most people tend to agree that they are clandestine groups relaying information to agents in the field. The agents have some method of decoding the numbers..

Nobody has ever decoded one of the messages..

I was talking to a guy who is WAY into these numbers. He literally knows every schedule of every transmission, and he really pays attention to the number sequences and tries to find patters and stuff like that.. He's convinced that these Cuban ones are sending these on behalf of Russia. He said that he compared the V2A station transmissions to some that originate from Russia and found similarities..

A good website to check out about this sort of stuff is spynumbers.com ... The guy that logs the majority of the info there is the guy I was talking about.. If you have any questions about this stuff, he'd be a real good guy to ask.. Go into the numbers station chat room.. The link is on the front page..

They can be hard to find. You kinda have to know when they're going to be on... A good one to catch is on 7887khz at 2000 Zulu time. It's on pretty much daily..

I see in your sig you have an R-75,.. do you have an adequate antenna setup?
