Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Here is what I'm trying to do for a customer with an NX300 radio....

We have a NXDN network that is up and running. The customer will have 1 ID/channel and will use it for emergencies. When not on the NXDN emergency network channel, the radio will be used at different sites talking on conventional channels. What I would like to happen is if someone on the emergency network keys up, the NX300 will switch to that NXDN channel even if the radio is on a conventional channel. Will a priority scan do this? Has anyone done this?

Thanks in advance!

Priority scan will work, but you or customer will experience breaks in the audio while scanning. But it can be done.

If you do this. Set the emergency channel as priority one, and the selected channel as priority 2, this way you can still scan. Otherwise the radio may not scan with no other channels in the list

How do you set a priority 2 channel? I have 1 NXDN Trunking System Zone that is the emergency channel. Then I have a FleetSync Conventional group. I have set the priority scan channel as the NXDN Zone, but how do i set priority 2 scan?
