One of the old systems has added a frequency:

;NID: 31 Site 10 RAN 10 NL 5 11 18
NEXEDGE48, 31, 10, 256, 454.1625, 0.0, 0
NEXEDGE48, 31, 10, 331, 454.400, 0.0, 0
NEXEDGE48, 31, 10, 415, 454.625, 0.0, 0
NEXEDGE48, 31, 10, 782, 471.200, 0.0, 0 ; <<<< (new)
NEXEDGE48, 31, 10, 828, 471.850, 0.0, 0
NEXEDGE48, 31, 10, 843, 472.225, 0.0, 0
NEXEDGE48, 31, 10, 888, 472.725, 0.0, 0
NEXEDGE48, 31, 10, 983, 471.58125, 0.0, 0
NEXEDGE48, 31, 10, 1004, 472.94375, 0.0, 0

Monitoring the CC for a few minutes, I don't see evidence of any additional channels at this time.

If HF stays dead, I'll put some time in on my new SDR dongle and see if anything else pops up 8*)

Is this stuff being submitted to the DB?

I haven't submitted anything - I have no real interest in the systems beyond their technical parameters. If someone wants to follow up by figuring out who owns each system and how the TG's are assigned, be my guest 8*)

They can still be entered in the db without knowing the actual owners of the system. That way, this may allow others to submit information and build on whats there.

I have spent some time working on Nexedge system 31. I put everything in 2 Google spreadsheets. - one organized by site and one by LCN. It appears that sites share some LCN'S and it also looks like there is 1 common LCN list for the entire system.
PM me if you guys want a copy. Maybe we can collaborate and fill in the holes. I have about 12 sites in various states of completion. It may have a few errors as well, but it is a solid start, I think.

I have found an unknown Nexedge system heard from north OC.
Here is what I have so far:

;SITE 1 NEIGHBORS:0
;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
NEXEDGE96, 55, 1, 77, 000.0000, 0.0, 0
NEXEDGE96, 55, 1, 243, 461.5375, 0.0, 0
NEXEDGE96, 55, 1, 319, 000.0000, 0.0, 0
NEXEDGE96, 55, 1, 423, 463.7875, 0.0, 0
NEXEDGE96, 55, 1, 457, 000.0000, 0.0, 0

Site shows as "L55" in DSD+, not sure what the "L" signifies.
It comes is pretty weak at my QTH. Any other DSD users able to hear anything? Also, I have gone through the FCC license search pretty thoroughly and haven't been able to find out who this belongs to. Any thoughts?

Looks like it's at UCLA's Rieber Hall.

The channels even seem to use a rational map, with 12.5 kHz spacing:

Channels Base
000-??? 451.00000
120-??? 460.00000
or maybe
200-??? 461.00000

This results in:

NEXEDGE96, 55, 1, 77, 451.9625, 0.0, 0
NEXEDGE96, 55, 1, 79, 451.9875, 0.0, 0
NEXEDGE96, 55, 1, 243, 461.5375, 0.0, 0
NEXEDGE96, 55, 1, 319, 462.4875, 0.0, 0
NEXEDGE96, 55, 1, 423, 463.7875, 0.0, 0
NEXEDGE96, 55, 1, 457, 464.2125, 0.0, 0

Thanks for the info, guys. I guess I was a little thrown off because UCLA has the Moto 800 Smartnet system and an LTR system for student housing. Unless one or both of these is deprecated, that makes 3 separate trunked systems for 1 school (!)
I like blowing peoples' minds with my math skills .

I will keep an eye on this system for a bit and submit it to the DB.

Thanks Again,
Mark

The 800 MHz system is for public safety and business operations. It is alive and well.

I have never actually logged the LTR system - but it was allegedly used for the res halls. That would be the most likely candidate for deprecation.

After staring at 105/5 for a minute or two, I realized that the folks who run that system had more than likely mapped the 450-451 band directly onto their channel line-up. Sure enough, it looks like the following works:

freq = 450.0000 + (Ch - 1)*0.00625

I think that means Nick's Ch 51 logging is actually on 450.3125.

I think these Nexedge signals are a little wide for 0.00625 KHz resolution - I'm still not entirely sure whether the control channel I think I'm hearing at 454.400 is actually on 454.400 or 454.40625 - I can set up on either and decode just fine...

KABC is running on 3.125 kHz offsets. Channel 1 is 450.003125 MHz and the spacing is 6.25 kHz. Ch 51 is actually 450.315625. I just submitted Site 1 info.

Although, I could be wrong.

For what it's worth, it looks like the Hollywood Bowl has gone digital. To my ear, it sounds like DMR on Hospitality/Admin and Security. Ushers are still analog, but the DPL's appear to have changed.

Followup -

Yup - it's DMR. Was able to grab the following -

461.2500 - CC1 TS1 TG1000

461.9125 - CC3 TS1 TG1000 (Hospitality)
461.9125 - CC2 TS2 TG 110246

464.1625 - CC2 TS2 TG???
464.1625 - CC11 TS2 TG 469

It's interesting - 99% of the amateurs I hear using DMR have impeccable audio. Darn near every commercial system I've listened to sounds like cr*p. Between that, the background noise at intermission and the infrequent transmissions, this was about the best I could do on a single vist. I invite anyone better situated to take up the torch and round this out!

Funny - my parents were just yesterday commenting how they couldn't hear the fire department operations on my scanner(s) very well (analog) but the buses and taxis (on DMR) were "loud and easily understandable". Could be many factors including how the users use and talk into their radios and/or your receiver's reception and decoding quality.

Most amateur users are more careful about how they talk into their radios.

Hi Sean!

I was actually using a CS750. I program two channels for each frequency - one on each time-slot - and use <Monitor> whenever a signal pops up.

DSD+ should still work with a tapped radio.

In your scanner you need to program each frequency as DMR one frequency trunked. That will allow you to see/program individual TG's and slots.
