NXDN NEXEDGE 4800 and 9600

GOOD MORNING.

WHEN PROGRAMING THE INTO MY UNIDEN BCD996P2 SCANNER USING ARCXT SOFTWARE WHAT SYSTEM TYPE IS IT. IS IT A DMR,MOTOTRBO. I DO HAVE THE UPGRADE FROM UNIDEN.

CAN SOMEONE PLLEASE HELP OUT.

Hi there:
DMR & MOTOTRBO are a different voice mode altogether from NXDN. I don't have the software in front of me but there should be another option to create an NXDN system

To expand on what @Whiskey3JMC said. DMR is a form of digital conventional while MotoTrbo takes that DMR signal and makes it trunking.
It has nothing to do with NXDN as that is a completely different digital protocol.

As a NXDN system which should be a separate option in the programming software, you will also need to know if the system is NXDN 4800 or 9600 as those are different as well, and probably require the LCN.

There is no option for NXDN on the drop down.

Are you're running the most recent version of ArcXT (2.2 as of this posting)? As noted here, support for NXDN was added in Version 2.2

i am trying to program the OnQ Network under York its a NXDN NEXEDGE 4800. Also how to tell if its a NXDN or a NXDN ONE FREQ TRUNK. thank you.

If you want to hear everything program it as conventional. If you want to selectively monitor talkgroups, program it as a OFT. It is not "one type or the other" - it's how you want it programmed.
