Why does Oakland County have so many radio tech channels?

My guess is that those talk groups have been assigned to Oakland County and the radio tech name is a place holder. As agencies move to MPSCS these talk groups will be reassigned to those agencies. Like I said this is only a guess.

Yes but very short. Usually 1-2 seconds "test, 1-2 etc.

You are correct! They are live talkgroups, and being used by the Oakland County and MPSCS Techs. Once their exact use is determined, we then make the changes accordingly in the database.
