Obama plans to visit Indianapolis May 17

President Barack Obama will visit Indianapolis May 17 after an appearance earlier that day in South Bend for the University of Notre Dame commencement.

Living close by as I do, I almost thought of making a monitoring day trip just to check the ND speech public safety setup. I wonder what the most primary channels in use would be. ND police or one of the local/states PDs? Then there are the Feds; I'm sure they'd be active.

Doubtful I'll make it over there for that, but if anyone has their ears on over there, post a report, will ya?

Obama was in town tonight 5-17-09 Sunday. Airport PD and Fire Talkgroups very active on MECA Sys 1. Also found the motorcade going from the Airport to the Downtown Westin Hotel.Did anyone see Airforce 1 fly into Indianapolis in the flight pattern to Indianapolis International? I am also listening to Secret Service channels assigned to the Motorcade for Obama as have heard nothing.

Indiana State Police is always involved when VIP'S come to town anywhere across the state including Indianapolis.
