The PulsePoint app shows the list of resources assigned to a given incident. For example, on the Williams fire there is "G1" and "W4" - anyone know what these units/functions and their on-air identifiers might be?
Thanks!

W4 is Water Tender 4. No idea why it isn't WT like the rest.

G1 I think is Crew 1.

If G1 is a crew then it looks like they are following the FIRESCOPE Resource Designation System, at least in part. A-FF designate engine strike teams. A is for a Type 1 engine strike team, example Strike Team 1801A. A Type 3 engine strike team is designated by a C, and a Type 7 patrol engine strike team has last letters of FF. G and H designate Type 1 and Type 2 crew strike teams, respectively. I don't think water tenders are formed into strike teams so they don't have letters. No one else is using W so in their CAD system they chose to use it. It looks like they want to use single letters only so WT is not used. I think Orange County's use of G for a crew is not coincidental and the engines, rather than shown as "E" might be mostly A's and C's. I've not followed their CAD so this post is a SWAG (scientific wild a** guess).

The designation system is all outlined in the attachment below. See page 7 for the letters used.

Crew 1 has been previously shown in PulsePoint as CRW1 (or CRW1A/CRW1B to denote separate modules), so unless something has changed,........

Also I have seen water tenders with the WT designator and I don't believe they have a water tender at station 4.
