• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

I just happened to look at the NJ Database tonight and saw that the Atlantic County P25 System was updated for Ocean City. The Ocean City Site info was updated, and a OCBP Talkgroup was updated as well as a OC Public Works Talkgroup. I'm in PA, but a yearly traveler to Ocean City, but the last I knew, the OCBP was using a Talkgroup on the Atlantic County EDACS System, ditching their VHF Channel. Does anyone know of any changes this year? I went down in early May, but not much was heard/said besides VHF Fire/EMS Calls. I go down for a week in August and wanted to make sure what the game plan was as far as frequency/system usage!

Thanks in advance!

The county EDACS system is rapidly approaching shutdown at this point. I'm also waiting for some missing info for the system, as some of the site data is incomplete (the submitter didn't even note the active control channel on the new Ocean City site).
