Starts Friday Sept 29th for 3 days. It sounds like an event that will stress Ocean City operations.

Any chance additional scanner feeds might pop up for the weekend?

At least this is a sanctioned event, unlike what’s happening this weekend.

I don't imagine the unsanctioned event will be happening this weekend. Between the expected terrible weather and the advance preps by law enforcement I imagine town will be pretty quiet. Not sure if the unsanctioned guys are still planning on returning to Wildwood or not.

Yea, the forecasted tropical storm will put a damper on burnouts.

Checked out the DMR. It seems to be running encryption.

Worked the event we had Motorolas all weekend, all of them worked without issues. As for outside the venue they’ve had busier days mid summer than this weekend everything was smooth.

Concur. Not overly active last weekend. The festival had a deal with the city that they would provide security and other services to event patrons. They also paid a deposit to the city for public safety support, and a promise to reimburse the city for any extra costs incurred related to the festival. Seems like a successful event for the city.

Bus transportation (or lack of) was the only shortcoming as far as I could determine. My daughter decided to walk 3 miles Friday night as she couldn’t catch a bus. I picked them up at 4th street on Saturday night.

Public transportation usually fails when stressed by large events. Plus the city has probably already cut back on service since the end of the summer season. They should probably rethink the shoulder season events.
