I am very surprised neither is posted in the RR DB yet. Any info on what frequencies these two casinos use? I couldn't find FCC licenses for them eirher which I assume means they are using some private radio rental company (odd for a large casino though)

From the way the license looks surprisingly they both seem NEITHER to be DMR nor trunked, just regular plain old UHF FM. Should be some good listening

Thanks K2YNN, however the first link you posted is actually the exact license for Resorts Casino. It is a LTR Trunked system (analog). However, the second link for Hard Rock Casino could be correct. I will try and discretely close call them on my scanner on my next trip there. Even if they use DMR, at least I could grab the correct frequencies for starters.

I recently returned from AC and did bring my scanner into Hard Rock discretely. Although, I was literally next to some security guys talking into their radios, my analog scanner didn't close-call anything. Therefore, they are most likely using something in the 800 MHz or 900Mhz range. Their radios sounded digital too, so my guess is DMR like the others. I think the only casino that can be picked up on an analog scanner is Resorts.

Borgata is 900mhz trunked DMR now if I recall, but RRDB is outdated. Next time I'm that way I'll try and get correct info
That would be great, I go up there with my wife about once a month and my close call searches have revealed nothing!

Cesars is analog conventional and there are additional channels at other properties that I do not know off the top of my head. Also, even certain properties that are on are TRS are not DMR or of a digital variety; there are analog trs' in service.

Here's what I found for the Hard Rock on my last trip. It took a bit of work, and the different color code on each frequency kind of threw me at first:

Hard Rock Casino and Hotel, dba Boardwalk 1000 LLC
WPRL940
TRBO Capacity +

854.7875 - CC1 LCN 1
854.8125 - CC4 LCN 4
855.7625 - CC2 LCN 2
855.8125 - CC5 LCN 5
856.8125 - CC3 LCN 3

Did you capture at least 1 TG at your time there? This the more than enough to start a proper DB submission with for the system.

I did at the time, but unfortunately I didn't save any of them for posterity.

I'm going to at least get the system created & added in with the site & frequency info. Hopefully another member can at least capture some security/maintenance/housekeeping traffic when they are in the area.

Great find Chris P. If they ever create an affordable DMR Trunked scanner, I will be able to monitor one day.

Also, thanks for the clarification Vfz3. I was under the impression that Ceasars security was also DMR, but that must only be true for the Playground Pier security.

Unfortunately that system and those frequencies no longer are active. That is why there hasn't been an update to the system since 2012, which is 7 years ago.

Borgata is now Capacity Plus & given the system puts out 100 watts, I was able to pick it up on the GSP as far down as Cape May. Only TG I was able to confirm for sure is Security on TG 2 but I was mobile at the time and it was around midnight so not a whole lot of activity outside of security. Other TG's my radio picked up briefly were 3, 6 & 9, though transmissions were way too brief for me to figure out who they were. I'll update next time I am in the area, hopefully earlier in the day next time. I submitted what I know to RRDB...

Well, bless your heart for taking the time to share this information. I have been bedeviled by Borgata system for years. My wife drags me to Borgata about every couple of months and since I don't gamble monitoring was one of the few pleasures I had until everything in Atlantic City and county went encrypted. Being able to hear Borgata again will definitely help me to pass the time away. Again thanks!
