Ohio police shot party-goers who wouldn't drop weapons.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Like cowboys whooping it up, central Ohioans celebrated another new year with guns blazing in the air.

But for the first time, Columbus police shot revelers who they said refused to drop their weapons.

Three people, all involved in separate incidents, were treated at area hospitals, though none suffered life-threatening injuries.

Good Story digital, Guess the next time they are confronted by an officer they will put their guns down. Pretty sad that officers have to seek shelter under heavy overhangs on buildings. Sure it's New Years Eve, but in these times its hard to tell the good and bad in just a split second. Good to read that none of the injuries were fatal. Good Chance that the ones shot were under disability at the time, which makes it illegal to posses a firearm.Cant remember how long ago its been since I shot a single round to ring in the New Year, Its been decades. But being in a more rural area its fairly common.
