OKC DPS Issue

I am hearing an odd buzzing every 10-20 seconds while I am listening to the OKC site of the DPS system. It is intermittent, consistent is length of time (2-3 sec) , and very annoying. I do not hear it while listening to the Crescent site though. It occurs on both scanners at the same time. There is nothing transmitting in the area of my scanner. I turned off all Wi-Fi products etc. This is a new problem that just began occurring within the last three days. There has been no change in my setup during that time. I have tried the scanner on a different plug in every room of the house and the problem remains. I have tried different antennas also.........arrrrrgh. I do not hear this on any other bands either.

Is anyone else hearing this?

DPS Noises

I have heard nothing of that nature here in MWC. Is it associated with a particular talkgroup? Do you hear it on your portable running on batteries.

The only odd noise that I have heard is the periodic sound that recently manufactured cell phones can induce into the audio of nearby receivers. One OHP dispatcher, in particular, has a cell phone of this nature near the radio when she is on duty.

Beyond that, i am clueless.

It must be something here then. It might be upstairs neighbor with some sort of wireless device. You would know be cause it is awefully annoying. The HH w/out batteries still does it..but as I tested it today it only occurred at my residence.
