Okla County SO UHF radio shuts down Nov 2019

I caught a news report on KOCO TV (12/20) that the Okla County SO has sent a letter to all eastern Okla County law enforcement that uses the old UHF system that it will shut down in Nov 2019.

Not surprising in the least and a reasonable leadtime to determine how they are going to go forward. I imagine most of those communities would be hard-pressed to have the resources to get on OKWIN so it will be interesting to see how they respond. These communities also have a bit of a mutual aid approach by having a common communication system so that will be another factor to observe, i.e. will it be everybody for themselves or have some commonality continue into the future?
