old FRN

I have been toying with the idea of getting my amateur radio license for a long time (back when the lowest level test required morse code). I recently decided to get my Technician license and went to get an FRN. When entering my SSN, it said I already have an FRN. I don't remember what it was, let alone remember the password. A name search is too ambiguous. Is there any reason to try to regain control of this FRN, other than saving the $35 fee?
Sincerely,
Will

I don't think getting your old FRN will help you avoid any fees.

Why did you have an FRN? Did you previously have any kind of FCC license?
