Tonight around 11pm Omaha weather was on 155.745 notifying different Warning points of Severe weather warnings for the warning points area. Never heard this before. I have 155.745 as a Madison County Frequency.
I heard the same traffic up here last night over 151.6250. Talking about bow echos, 100+ shear on a storm in Knox county and other related weather stuff.
As mentioned that is NAWAS, a national warning point. During storms it's pretty interesting to listen too, and you'll hear watches and warnings going out in real time.
For more information on NAWAS see the following link.

RIch I did here Stanton County talking on a freq the other night but wasnt paying attention to they where also talking about the same thing. Just a thought might of been them.
151.6250 is MURS Channel 1. This is a frequency that does not need a license and can be used by anyone for low power short range communication. You may have been hearing a storm chasing team that was nearby.
