In just the last month or so Tooele Dispatch has started using a code of Omega for some medical dispatches. It seems it is used when the call is a repeat nuisance type call or other similar situtation.

Any other agencies using this code? Is there a more formal definition?

I hear SLC use it a bit. Not sure the formal definition though I believe its for a non-medical issue such as helping someone get up.

Omega's are usually citizen assists, a fall where someone only needs assistance getting up and isn't injured, and some non-emergent medical calls.

It's used for non-emergent calls for service with no chance of a life-threat, per EMD protocol.

Per the VECC dispatch yesterday another use is if the call gets transferred off to another agency (Poison control, transport, etc.)
