• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

OK one of my buddies who was in the local Police Academy said that they conducted some operations on OCSD Channel 9, the SWAT channel. He could not obtain any freq info except that it was VHF-HI band.

The usual suspects are:

Ch 1--155.01 (repeater input 158.79) Operations channel
Ch 3--155.43 (repeater input 159.39) 911 Dispatch (MRD)
Ch 4--155.37--Interagency
Ch 5--155.715 Wants/Warrants/Data control

Also

155.85--car to car, spec ops, County Bldgs and Court security
154.845--Administrative (have had this in scanner for 6 yrs with NO traffic)
154.115--FCC shows this as Jail Gate Shack but has been inactive since Jail went to 800 mhZ.

So some help please, what is the freq for OCSD Ch 9 SWAT??

Thanks to all in advance!!

Thanks!

Hey buddy sorry I missed your reply for so long. I will plug this into my scanner and see what I might hear. So far it seems that most major operations revert to 155.10 (ch 1 OPS) but one never knows. Have you ever heard anything on your ch 9 frequency?

Thanks again!

No, i cant say as i have heard much on it.
But it is licensed to them, so one never knows when they might be on it for something.
